The Lady Coyotes Softball team earned the double header split on Wednesday against the Victor Valley Rams. They dropped the first game 1-6 and took the second game 9-3.
Pitching was a highlight of game 2 with Rheanna Bell going 6 innings strong only allowing 2 runs. Erica Madrid came in to close the game out with a strong 7th inning allowing 1 run. That's not all Madrid did however, her bat was rolling on Wednesday showing a 3 for 5 effort in game 2 with a stolen base. This increases her average on the season to .413. Lily Rice also had a strong day at the plate going 4-6 on the day including a 3-3 effort in game 2 with a double. Lastly, Sadie Taffolla was bringing everyone home in game 2 going 2-4 with a double, and a total of 4 RBI's.
This split against VVC hopefully gives the Lady Coyotes momentum going into the final stretch of their season. They hit the road one last time travelling to Grossmont on Friday, April 11. They return home next Wednesday to take on the Chaffey Panthers at the Coyote Diamond at 2:00 on April 16. We hope to see you there Yote fans.
