Coaching Philosophy

Coaching is teaching, and I love to teach.  It’s important to me that the players I coach get better each time we meet, and that they learn something at every practice.  I don’t expect a college level player to know it all; I believe in continual growth and try to teach the “growth mindset” in all they do on and off the court (Carol Dweck, Author “the Growth Mindset”). Using the latest research in motor skill development and movement/memory retention, I try to get the most out of our time at each practice.  Of course this is the best game in the world (wink-wink), so having fun, working hard, getting better, and becoming a great team is always a top priority when coaching my teams.
